Regulatory entrepreneurship
In 2020, the Isle of Man Government retained ACE Hollreiser to lead the creation of the Manx cannabis regulations, to assist government in establishing the cannabis regulator within the Gambling Supervision Commission (GSC) and to secure passage through Tynwald [the Isle of Man’s Parliament]. The Manx cannabis regulatory framework was approved in January 2021 and the regulator www.isleofmangsc.com began accepting applications in June to allow commercial operators to grow, manufacture, distribute and export cannabis under license.
